Rehabilition Institute of Oregon The Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon (RIO) has been a presence in Portland offering services to the disabled since 1948. The physicians of Rehabilitation Medicine Associates have been part of the therapy and administrative teams at RIO for over 30 years.

RIO is located at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital and Medical Center in northwest Portland. It provides high intensity rehabilitation therapy and nursing services in a hospital setting. The care is given with the aim of enabling participants to return to living in the community following stroke, brain or spinal cord injury, fractures or other conditions producing significant disability.

RMA physicians provide inpatient care to patients hospitalized on the RIO unit and oversee the efforts of the therapy team as well as providing medical directorship.
