physician   physiatrist training To become a physiatrist, individuals must successfully complete four years of medical school followed by four years of specialty (residency) training.

Physiatrists enter into 4-years of Residency training after receiving a medical degree. Their medical degree is as a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Medical Doctor (MD).

Dr. Kafrouni completed his medical degree (MD) at Loma Linda University Medical Center and his residency at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Dr. Kafrouni is also the Associate Medical Director for Emanuel Trauma and Burn for the Legacy Health System.
